Trevor Young - Founder & Principal
Trevor Young brings over three decades of leadership in cruise operations, shipbuilding, and refurbishment. His career began in 1996 with Star Cruises onboard Superstar Gemini, followed by a move in 1997 to Meyer Werft in Papenburg, Germany, as Director Newbuilding Owners Supply.
In 2000, he became Senior Director Hotel Operations at Star Cruises, before joining Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings in Miami in 2002 as VP Hotel Newbuilding & Refurbishment. In 2007, he relocated to Saint Nazaire, France, as VP Newbuilding Design & Outfitting, where he led major projects including Norwegian Epic.
Between 2008 and 2009, Trevor served as Owners Representative for the redevelopment of the Queen Elizabeth 2 into a luxury hotel in Dubai. From 2010 to 2015, he consulted for JMMY Group across the Middle East, Asia, and Australia.
He returned to Genting Hong Kong in 2015 as Senior VP New Ship Building Product & Delivery, overseeing design and delivery at Meyer Werft and MV Werften. In 2017, he joined MSC Cruise Division as VP New Building, contributing to fleet expansion and the launch of Explora Journeys.
In 2025, Trevor founded Ocean Ventures Advisory to support clients navigating Asia's dynamic maritime landscape, fostering innovation and collaboration across the sector.
